Do any of you guys have advice / opinions of what could be going on? It seems shady to me, but I don't know a lot about hvac.Think about all of the products you’ve ever owned. I have another company coming out in an few hours for a second opinion. He told me there was no way to test if it was bad, which I don't believe. The tech also didn't run any tests on it, he was just adamant that the motor was bad. The blower was replaced a couple of years ago. I was wondering if a low pressure switch open error could be caused by a bad blower, and the blower error showing up for the first time while the tech was here was a coincidence. He offered to replace the blower for $1,600 or they can send someone out to quote me to get the whole unit replaced. Now the AC won't turn on at all because it can't communicate with the blower. That error has never shown up on the unit in the past. He went out to the condensor for 5 minutes and came back in to show me a new error, unable to communicate with blower / blower communication fault. The AC worked all weekend, and they sent another technician out this morning since the issue was unresolved on Saturday. I had a company come out on Saturday who couldn't determine the cause of the problem, but the switch was supposedly fine. In either instance, the AC would work intermittently or after the timeout.
